In that respect, it's also time to move on from 32-bit systems. I run, and my entire company runs, on win 7 64 bit now, and it's been a year or two and there hasn't been a single issue. I'm not sure *why* Windows 7 didn't come default as a 64-bit system in fact. Couldn't tell you. I have run Win7 64 bit since Win7 was released. The whole time hearing people say how bad it was, yet I had no issues. Never made sense to me. Used to hear the same things about WinXP x64 and Vista x64... ran both of them without incident, either. Regardless, considering my desktop has 16GB of RAM now, a 64-bit OS is basically mandatory. |
