I think if they had put up a kickstarter with donation packages in these three tiers a lot more people would be thinking it was cool. For some reason some folks think it's greedy of them to offer these directly. The legendary package is obviously not a great value, but represents an investment in the game - and being in the game's credits as such reflects that.
