Note: "modprobe" requires the module to be in a standard location (typically "/lib/modules/<version>/*/"), and be listed in the dependency file (from a run of "depmod -a")... What you probably want is plain old "insmod" to directly load an arbitrary module located outside of the normal module hierarchy...
