To be fair the first game didn't particularly grab me, even though I tried to get into it. Even after all the patches and extra content came out my opinion didn't change - I felt the gameplay was very clunky and needlessly convoluted. The Witcher 2 on the otherhand was a superb game and I'd easily rank it as one of the best games I've played. I'd love to see the original game remade using that engine, though it looked like that project was scrapped.
Anyway, I'm certainly interested to see what CDPRS will come out with next. Cyberpunk certainly has potential, although the artwork released isn't particularly inspiring or different. It's good to see a developer move out of its comfort zone, rather than just do a Crytek or Infinity Ward and release the same game over and over again. |
