It is not Blizzards job to keep trojans, backdoors and other malware off your brothers computer for him. That's his. Tell your brother to keep his various software like Flash, Windows Update etc up-to-date, get an authenticator and stay off porn/torrent sites.
You're really trying to play the "blame the victim" game? How pathetic and immature! You have absolutely no idea about his computing habits. Flash and Windows automatically update themselves and he doesn't use torrent sites (I have no intention of asking him about his porn habits); he also uses anti-virus / anti-malware software. None of the other games he plays have ever been hacked. Meanwhile the Diablo III forums are filled with posts about people who have had their accounts hacked. I also notice you ignored the fact that many people with an authenticator have had their accounts hacked.

If security is such an issue then they should have include an authenticator with the game and mandated its use. The reality is that Blizzard is not doing enough to secure its products when it knows that they are going to be targeted dramatically more than other games. I don't understand why people are trying to play the "defend the multi-billion dollar company" game when Blizzard has brought this upon itself by monetising the loot system and not adequately securing accounts.
It's not lightly that I would defend Blizzard, but in this case I think your brother is the one that screwed up for the most part. Security issues with this game are exactly the same as any other MMO. There may be more people trying to hack this one, but the methods are the same. If someone gets a keylogger or other form of malware onto your system, then you're going to lose your account. Use the authenticator if you want to protect yourself. Blizzard made them available, why didn't he use them if he values his stuff? I still haven't seen any confirmation of anyone using an authenticator getting hacked.
