People like him can keep their ignorance south of the border. We don't need or want it. It's ignorant not to want to be spent into oblivion? The day Pres. Obama took office the public debt was $6.4 trillion. Today it is $11 trillion.
Spending by the Federal Government increased from $2.9 trillion in the last year of the Bush administration to over $3.5 trillion in the first year of the Obama Administration, and has since increased further to $3.8 trillion a year. This is despite Pres. Obama ending the US manned Space Program, his refusal to purchase the F22 Fighter, cuts to Medicare to pay for Obamacare,2 consecutive years with no Social Security cost of living increase, and cuts to defense and law enforcement.
Under Pres. Obama we have had increases in spending on welfare with the workfare requirements repealed. Prior to the Obama Administration able bodied adults could only get welfare if they either worked 22 hours a week or were enrolled in job training. Welfare used to be for the sick, the infirm elderly, and children, but Pres. Obama has made it possible for able bodied adults to get welfare while making no effort to find any work.
Spending has increased from $2.9 trillion to $3.8 trillion a year under Pres. Obama in the past 3 years - an increase of over 30%.
In 2006, the last year we had a Republican Congress & President, the federal deficit was less than $200 billion and unemployment was 4.5%.
We've lost millions of jobs since Barack Obama went to Washington as a Senator in January 2007 despite trillion dollar deficits.
Taxes aren't the issue to recovery. This buffoon's out of control spending is. You cannot spend your way out of a recession.
That none of you left leaning folks care at all about how much money is being spent is flat out troubling. Someone has to eventually pay for it. |
