So, obesity is a problem with your genes after all... your born with it

Even if that were true - which it isn't - people weren't designed to be sitting around their asses all day and night. Not to mention that we have a little something called the SIRT1 gene that controls obesity naturally when we act like we were designed to act - which is to say a limited and healthier intake of food and regular excercise.
