I'd think this would have been easier to do this when they had stats and skills; you would just assign the points, like you do in any RPG that doesn't start you out at level 1. But I guess the purists who hate respecs would have a conniption if it were that easy. It would be harder here since you're expected to be have your loot from earlier runs, and the loot is that much more important without the stats & skills.
