No, not really.

Many people expected a singleplayer adventure, with perhaps some fellow warriors(your friends) via a LAN game. No one cared for an AH. That's just what Blizzard has fed you, and you're eating it up.

No, the bigger issue is that you're leasing a singleplayer game now and you're forced to be connected to while you do it; not to mention you'll play it at 150ms(online), rather 0ms(offline or LAN).
