Most of that loss came from their television business, not from the PlayStation division specifically (not surprisingly - Sony's pretty much conceded the high-end HDTV game to Samsung, but their prices still aren't good enough to compete with the likes of LG, Sharp, or Panasonic). Additionally, they had a fair bit of capital expenditures related to rebuilding facilities in Thailand damaged or destroyed by flooding... that's never cheap.
