Just from my own suspicions the guy does sound kind of scammy/douchey judging from his own bio: http://davidprassel.com/bio
I was checking it out because I read on the Kickstarter that he is claiming involvement in Counter-Strike, which I actually found harder to believe than him leading a team of 30 at 13 years old. But on his very similar bio on his own page he doesn't even mention CS. I suppose it could of been some small mod or even a map but I feel he's bragging about a whole lot of nothing in a way, misleading.' When you think about what a resume is for (which is what this bio essentially is) , the way it's worded is understandable. I had to re-write my entire resume coming out the navy because the hiring officer working for the company tasked with helping us land jobs said it wasn't impressive enough. He had me re-word every line so that, without stating one false fact, it sounded like I operated the ship single-handedly in hostile waters the entire time and singlehandedly won the cold war.
Don't get me wrong; I'm of a similar mind as Aseven in situations like this. When so many different people have so much bad to say about someone or something, you don't usually find that all of it was baseless (though it does happen). The Internet especially is great for the "blood in the water effect" where rumors and hearsay become a feeding frenzy for haters and conspiracy nuts. Chances are, based on how his bio does read however, the guy comes across as more of an egotistical, ambitious, primadonna. People like that generally have few friends. |
