It’s not that Fargo hates publishers, they are a necessary evil… it’s that they wouldn’t fund the projects he wanted to do. Since Wasteland 2 is already funded, the publisher won’t get the chance to interfere with Brian’s vision for the game. Besides, I doubt Brian Fargo wants to spend HALF of the pledges towards marketing, fulfillment, and product support. I’m sure you’ll agree, that money is better spent on game content.
