meaning, I watch them to be entertained, not primarily to build expectations for the game. Although the Dead Island trailer was a scam. Because even if it was pure CGI and obvious at that, we all thought that Dead Island was gonna be THAT Zombie game they alluded to in the Trailer even if not ENTIRELY like that (notice how they started the game that way to lure you into thinking that, they probably made that level just so there is no instant obvious disconnect from that trailer), only later did it became clear that it was nothing but a open-world zombie hackn' slash with 0 emotional story of anything.
In the case of Dead Island this was done intentionally to mislead, for most other trailers it is just done to entertain How is it even possible for people to be confused about what a game is really like, these days? Go to youtube and search for gameplay footage. Ain't that hard! |
