My perception of the gameplay is only because I am unaware to alternative methods of doing things. I am suffering from growing pains, and I am sure I wouldn't have said what I said if I had a better understanding of the games systems and how to achieve the build I want and make it badass. I had no idea about Fast Travel. I just looked it up and wow that would have been awesome last night
This is my first Elder Scrolls game, but I love sandbox and exploration. I am trying to stick to the main quest, for my first playthrough, while doing still doing optional quests and exploration here and there. My trip from Whiterun to Iverstead took a few hours because I kept on getting distracted by something else. Which is awesome, but I don't want to get so beyond overwhelmed like others have, or so I've read.
Yes, I am having issues trying to play the style I want to play. I am trying to go the Rogue/Thief route. Swords or Daggers? I dunno. Am I missing something on how Sneak works, cause it's pretty useless right now? Other qualms I have is inventory management. This is horrendous, constantly having to drop things when I'm in the middle of nowhere after every fight or chest is taking me out of the game every time it happens. I do not have a good idea, for example, what MISC stuff to keep and what's safe to throw away. There are a few other things; I am sure, in time, I will figure a lot of these things out. Yeah, I find some of this grindy and boring, but I am captivated with the world and intend to keep playing with the hopes that my second run through the game will be a lot more informed and thus, awesome.
