It's there to incentivise new players to stand a chance against folks who've clocked 300+ hours on the game. Especially the vehicle unlocks can be difficult to achieve if you start playing now. And after this patch, you can pretty much forget about tanks unless you sport a Reactive Armor from get-go. They also did it with BC2, so nothing new under the sun. And as far as I'm concerned, I'm done with this game. This patch proved once again, that all DICE is capable of is nerfing, more nerfing, and breaking balance and gameplay mechanics.
