Certainly is, but only to those it effects. Considering this is an issue that these individuals would have with literally hundreds, if not thousands of online only games....I could care less about their internet stability woes when it comes to one game, Diablo 3.
People keep throwing out Paths of Exile as an alternative...but it's F2P, microtransaction driven and I believe is online only as well. I don't hear people crying about that when they throw the name out there in response to not buying D3. It's a double standard, driven entirely by the mindset that D1/D2 had offline and D3 doesn't.
