Hope Valve has an big advertising budget. It will be fun to see what happens. Valve has a lot of cash to burn. As long as they don't sell it below cost, they should be fine even if it fails. Selling a PC of any type below cost would be a HUGE mistake. At or near cost should be ok though. They already have a steady income stream that's not going to decline anytime in the foreseeable future, so they don't have to rely on this for the success of the company.
