This is not a feature that bothers me, despite my general dislike of Origin. Direct2Drive's failed "Comrade" platform did the same thing, and I though it was kind of neat. Incidentally, Comrade was also vastly superior to Origin; too bad D2D didn't have near the presence or brand awareness that EA does.

Of course, D2D also didn't spitefully and childishly blacklist any competing services like EA does with Steam, making it much less detestable than EA.
