What, you think he can just magic it up? You can't just put up a Kickstarter page saying "Wouldn't another Wasteland be cool? Gimme money". He has to have a solid plan in place, with a team in place, a good outline of the plan, what platforms it might be on, even what engine they could use. Determine that first, then put up a Kickstarter place. I know this is the age of instant gratification but saying this is taking too long is really way out there.
