Some games have lame tutorials to teach players the controls but improve after their introduction sequences, other games start out with boring tutorials and never pick up the pace afterward. Amalur improves but not in the ways that matter to me as a player. Regardless, the intro dungeon is particularly lame and not a smart way to sell it to anyone.
Also the game has a staggering amount of VA yet the vast majority of it is terrible. I feel bad for Curt, he obviously has a lot of passion for videogames and dumped some of his own money into this but it's just kinda meh as a game. The combat is alright until you become ridiculously overpowered a few hours into the game and at least its arriving in a (somewhat) dead period anyway. |
