The 3G version has built in GPS, while the wifi only version does not. I give it a 30% chance that there will be an app/game/game feature I will want to take advantage of that benefits from GPS. 3. Given the preorder bundle, you pay $50 more for the 3G version, but you get a memory card ($30), a game ($10? $20?), and a 3G plan ($20, but probably closer to $0 for most people). Depending on what value you place on these extras, the 3G may be effectively free.
