One thing that seems to be getting missed in all of this, is that aside from the somewhat minor Scrolls, Patch 10(the latest beta patch) also removes 40% of the Shared Stash space. Patch 9, 5 tabs of available storage, Patch 10, only 3.
That IS major, and of course no Blizzard comments about it on the few threads bringing it up.
Companions will probably be back in some form or another, I used them like once in the beta. Reforging scrolls? Meh, not too worried about those, just bake some new items with the Blacksmith.
Losing that much storage space, probably to have it sold back later as some sort of paid feature? That REALLY sucks if it turns out that way at retail.
