Normally I'd agree with you, but Remedy had SEVEN YEARS to make Alan Wake, so the blame belongs squarely with themselves.
Another example of succesful dev on the PC thinking that if he just switches over to the consoles, he'll be snorting coke off a hooker's ass in his Saturday's Ferrari too, tells the PC crowd to go fuck itself, then awkwardly has to come back with his hat in his hand and beg for a fiver because his game bombed.
So long, Remedy. Good luck on Alan Wake 2! *snicker*
The final nail in their coffin will be if Rockstar takes Max Payne 3 and sells millions and millions of copies. Which, knowing Rockstar, doesn't seem very unlikely.
