Anyhow, i hope this game doesn't suck The plot in the second game was pretty terrible so I hope that they can reverse that course a bit. The series had wildly uneven continuity in the ME1-2 transition. They will do sidequest continuity but not basic story stuff very well. For example, why did Vigil the Prothean VI computer in ME1 fail to mention who the Reapers really? It would have had to know considering it was a failsafe meant for that kind of event and they were still people to create the facility. I mean, I get this kind of stuff happens with writing teams but you could drive a truck through that one.
The leaked script that accompanied the Xbox beta was a bit disconcerting...there some very bizarre character twists and betrayals that wouldn't make sense even with full context is all I'll say. Hopefully the gameplay elements make up for some of the more nonsensical things in it.
Also I hope that the Citadel is back to being a place again instead of a series of 7 corridors. ME2 had a plot? I could have sworn I was just playing therapist to a bunch of whiny emo companions then fighting a giant terminator for no real good reason. |
