Perhaps each expansion could focus on new Sith lords from that time frame or experience the events in lore as they unravel through history. It's really exciting if they are able to capture that much of the Star Wars universe and provide quality content. The other great thing about new content is they don't have to fudge around with current content to make the new stuff fit in. Add a new planet with your new content on it. Done.
