I have to agree here that Dead Island has the best melee combat i've seen in a first person title. I dont expect this kind of combat from new elder scrolls titles because of everything else they achieve, that being said though, each new elder scrolls game does move in the right direction with the combat system.

I really just hope the auto-leveled world never sees the light of day again in an elder scrolls game.
