ID Software likely hasn't talked or worked with AMD nor NVIDIA at all - otherwise there'd have been a driver release before the game release. OR There have been so massive issues with the graphics technology ID touted as a revolution that Nvidia and AMD simply can't get it to run without issues on modern gpu hardware. That'd be hilarious.
