This game looks nothing like, nor sounds anything like The Elder Scrolls. As for the other... It's hard to believe that we actually have to define this for you, but being independant means your company is not owned by another parent company, nor stockholders, nor are your projects funded by another company in such a way that it makes you beholden to them.
