I do agree that the combat is really rather pathetic. It's literally the old D&D way of combat. "He swings and hits, and you take 7 damage. You swing back and you hit him, and he takes 5 damage." KOTOR 1&2 had the same style of combat. I don't really have a problem with the combat. I have a problem with the paraphrased dialogue wheels and the chance-to-use-dialogue-option-you-selected when playing in a party. Also not a big fan of the light side/dark side morality system. Jedi and Sith should just be factions with no inherent moral alignment. KotoR2 came close to approaching this but it still retained the morality system.
