You didn't pay $50 for TF2 to begin with. You paid that for the Orange Box (unless you had the foresight to buy an ATI card, wherein you got it for free) which came with TF2, HL2, HL2 Ep:1, HL2 Ep 2, and Portal. If you bought TF2 stand-alone, you paid $19.99. If you don't think you've had $20 of value out of the game over 5 years, you've got more issues than just being short of $20.
