In any case, what I'm really curious to know is how many people are going to go straight back and happily put their credit card number back on PSN?
Why not? Everytime you use your credit card anywhere you are at risk of it having it fall into the wrong hands. The only way to be totally secure is to not even have a credit card in the first place... plus it has been stated that the credit card info was encripted, so theres no saying anyones card was compromised at all.
A two week downtime means they are basically overhauling every single bit of their entire network security, meaning it was all garbage. How much trust do you have that their new network will really be all that better?
The fact that they absolutly cannot afford to have this happen again. I'd bet my bottom dollar they will do everything in thier power to secure the PSN as best as humanly possible.
