Why pay R&D when people will innovate stuff for free? Really? That's what you take from this announcement? People asked for this before launch, people complained that Microsoft ignored the PC, people hacked their way to get this to work, and when Microsoft embraces it and totally opens the gates you make a post implying they're only doing it because they're greedy and looking to cut costs elsewhere?
Wow. More of a play on both. It's good to see them open it up. it can only bring better items for the future of the product and motion recognition in general. But really what's wrong with having tons of people working on your product for free? Think Recaptcha is greedy because they make millions of people work for them for free daily while providing a service? |
