Yup.. The Game industry is reaching the same point as the Movie industry. They won't stray from a formula of producing bland shallow games that are designed to appeal to wide range of people. There's too much risk involved. Innovation is out the door as they copy the known money makers God of War, CoD, Gears of War.. etc. Game play will take a back seat to explosions and eye candy. We'll get a get a gem every once in a while from small developers, but we're going to be flooded with garbage from the big guys.
