This was an intentional leak, no doubt about it. To be clear, there's a difference between "intentional leak" in that it wasn't accidental, and "intentional leak" in that specific higher-ups at EA and/or Crytek leaked the game in an attempt to drum up publicity. The former is almost certain, the latter is almost certainly not the case.
