The best explanation I have managed to accrue is that it's like Lego blocks. It unleashes people's inner creativity.
Whereas many games give you a world to play in, this one lets you make it into your own. That's pretty much spot on, it's basically videogame lego for all ages. It doesn't have much depth if you are the type of person who needs direction to enjoy themselves. If you like exploration and building then you'll probably love it.
Personally I got tired of it very quickly, while the building itself is fun the resource systems and etc are very limited and not terribly fleshed out. Once I had made a few mining operations with automated cart systems and a few big castles I was like "well I can replicate some real life stuff in here but it will take weeks or I can just play other games". |
