Finally got this. I played the demo on the 360 with a friend, thought it was awful. The game didn't feel right, but I was desperately looking for a co-op game to replace Borderlands at that point.
On the PC? Wow. Alright, it's kind of short-lived single player (AI has some left to be desired [why won't they use explosives, for one] and why can't I do mutations single player) but it's a ton of fun. I tried multiplayer once, didn't much enjoy being a tank, was a bit too rubber-bandy for more, and my microphone apparently doesn't work, so I don't know if I'll get much use out of it after beating each campaign this weekend (man, co-op is so much more fun on the same screen and next to each other.)
The character models in this game are unbelievable. Valve and Source are still entirely untouched when it comes to faces. No one is in the same vicinity. |
