Rage looks pretty good. Hope it comes out soon. It'll be interesting to see such a major gameplay shift from id software - NPCs, dialogs, optional missions, huge and connected open worlds, your choice of accepting missions and then driving down to the area even getting sidetracked into another mission/loot opportunity, vehicular action, loot, vehicle upgrades, weapon upgrades from looted items etc.
