Still, it doesn't matter in any way how much anyone can argue about the validation of tactics against piracy (drm/delays/etc), because in large part pirates won't mind and still will pirate the titles. And when publishers make the shift from 'the rampant piracy platform that is the PC' to the consoles, the pirates will simply follow.

What does matter is that an unique gaming platform like the PC is being destroyed because of these fallacies. Piracy is universal, it just favors the popularity and accessibility of the platform. Fix that, and piracy will simply shift but not move away. It's really just whack-a-mole ... and it's like these kinds of discussions over and over again: pretty useless
