I would definitely have to question your sample group based upon my own experiences as well as the worldwide gross, but to each their own. It is not a perfect movie and there are certain aspects that certain people will obviously dislike.
On a different note, I don't believe the "environmentalism" is solely tied to Earth vs. Pandora or limited solely to the trees.
On a compeltely abstrate noce , I am definitely interested in seeing what else Sam Worthington does. I think he was the only decent thing in the abomination that was Terminator Salvation and I think he showed a nice range in Avatar. I originally scoffed at the remake of the movie, but Worthington's presence in Clash of the Titans is at least making me curious...
I still think, if you like a wide range of movie types, that most people will enjoy Avatar. I'm not sure if I am excited for ME2 so much as looking forward to a new game to play... Shrugging, Ray |
