That's the risk you run buying a game code off a random person on Ebay - your only recourse is to hope that the harm to their ebay rating is enough to prevent them from being dishonest about refunding or selling things they aren't legally allowed to sell Hate to tell you this but there's a pile of companies that sell keys for games via direct download not off ebay. So unless they're willing to publish an actual list that says "these groups are okay" then people are going to continue to run into this issue. Saying "only buy from here..." stinks of market cornering, when there is competition out there.
A good example is onlinekeystore. They sell keys that are valid, and can be used through steam, D2D, EA's store and so on. Yet they're around 30% cheaper then anyone else. |
