It's not necessary an "omg blizz running out of ideas" and far more likely that they don't want to release ice-crown citadel this close after releasing ulduar (I consider toc a stopgap as well). The only kind of eh part is a lot of the loot from the ony fight is better than algalon's loot table. As for the hardcore vs casual... yeah having done yogg +1 and the pain that was hm mimiron, there's your hardcore fix. Hell even casual players can't usually get past mimiron, much less see yogg so I don't really see the point in debating.
