I doubt website hosts and content authors share that opinion, their sole form of revenue is advertising.
Well... that's just tough shit. We pay for our bandwidth too... and with ISPs invoking "bandwidth caps" nowadays, I'm sure as hell not going to pay extra to see a bunch of fucking ads.
That said, I visit several sites that have non-intrusive ads embedded in their site that adblock plus / easylist doesn't block (by default). Since the ads are non-intrusive, there is no reason to go out of my way to create "custom filters" to block them, even though it's fairly simple with a few mouse clicks.
So whaddya know? Webmasters that actually got a fucking clue! There are some out there. |
