Hellgate is still an RPG, and apparently not a very good one. Well, I guess... It would have been interesting to see how people 'took' to the game if FSS didn't come up with their EXTREMELY greedy subscription and adware model. I think a LOT of people are basing their opinions of the game based on that, which is fine as I agree, it's just down right greed, BUT the game plays the same as Diablo and Diablo 2.
