Could you imagine the uproar and wave of "bethesda hate" that would have swept the net, if the fans had not been able to fix, oblivion?

But Oblivion on the 360 far outsold Oblivion on the PC, got higher reviews than Oblivion on the 360, had fewer complaints on the internet than Oblivion on the 360, and it was unfixable.

I just think you're vastly overrating the hypercritical internet fanbase relative to the entire purchasing fanbase.

Look at the Wii. We all hate the Wii. But it's selling like hotcakes. I haven't touched mine in 8 months, really only got one month of play out of it, and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. But you still can't find them on shelves, despite more than a handful of people online telling everyone this.
