Cedega from Trans Gaming makes up for a large portion of WINE's shortcomings. The problem is, you have to pay for it, to the tune of $5.50 per month, if you want anything resembling support. Gaming on Linux is still just a dream and will remain that way until publishers pay for Linux versions of games to be developed, just as they pay for console ports and Windows ports now. Don't blame Linux, blame the publishers for not supporting Linux.
