This is correct, but bear in mind that Activision, who publish id's games, have hundreds of testers and QA people putting every game, patch, and demo they release through its paces. I don't know who Termite's publisher is, but I'd be willing to bet that the test was released direct from the developer with little-to-no publisher QA. As an interesting note, it ran fine on my PC - Overclocked Athlon 1GHz@1100MHz, GeForce2 Ultra, SBLive, WinXP, etc...
