Tinfoil won't protect you from Punkbuster. Only being smart enough to understand its EULA and not install it in the first place will.
Wow, I haven't been impressed by this much conspiracy theorizing in quite a while...
EULAs do not protect a company if they are found to be working outside the scope of their intent, in this case if EB is found harvesting information that has no direct causal relation to cheat detection. No amount of EULA legalise mumbo-jumbo would protect them, even if aforementioned EULA was agreed to.
It might help if you actually look up some of laws when it pertains to this subject. Malicious in their activities would require EB to be scanning directories and harvesting the information from it for their own benefit when it has nothing to do with what their listed duties, for example...sure, PB can scan any and all directories and collect data on that, but they cannot deep scan a file and collect information regarding the contents of said file, the most they can do is simple hash checks and surface-level checks.
So again, stick to the tinfoil hats, they suit you.
Besides, how goes not playing any major game online going for you?
