and just use my Audigy 2 sound card until Vista/Micrsoft and Creative decide wtf they are gonna do sound wise.
Get a motherboard with Realtek onboard audio, preferably the HD version (ALC883 IIRC). Better sound, better drivers, faster and nicer control panel. Best of all, no more sound crashing while gaming because of shitty Creative drivers.
I traded my Audigy 2 ZS to a friend for an old motherboard I needed to fix a computer that got zapped. I won't ever regret getting rid of it.
Edit: Anyone know of a good utility to try to recover data from a hard drive? A friend of mine had a drive die (won't show up in Windows anymore). I'm pretty sure the drive itself is shot, but I'm going to slap it into my computer this weekend just to make sure it isn't something on his end. --- Xfire: GreySpire We want Blue's News T-shirts!
