Then after eventually fixing the view setup for the first battle letting my squad stay back while flanked off left, using a vehicle as cover iir.
Well enemy arrives so the shooting starts I kill maybe twenty guys that were spose to come from the one truck I was covering, except apparently Gearbox's trucks hold more than 20, 30 think I lost track at about 30. Brothers in Arms certainly had it's problems, but that said the scenario you describe isn't in the game.
The first level is basically an interactive cutscene, it's impossible to die. The second level is all exposition, no combat. The third level you don't have a squad, you just follow two npcs around while you blow up AA guns. The 4th level, you have one soldier under your command and there arn't any enemy vehicles involved. The 5th you also have one solder under your command and you raid a series of farmhouses, again no enemy vehicles or trucks. The 6th level you have a full fireteam under your command and you attack a town, and then fight off a counter attack at a church; again, no enemy trucks. The 7th level you have a full team under your command and you clear several farmfields of glider obstacles. After that my memory of the game gets pretty hazy, I think the next level you have a tank and a fire team under your command but that may be later on. The point is that there isn't a magical truck of respawn anywhere in the early game.
