I don't doubt your development experience. I remain unconvinced that it was an EA coding practice that led to this until we know WHY it fails. In this corner: KB917422... fixes a vulnerability present in the Microsoft Windows Kernel that may allow for arbitrary code execution. Exploitation could be successful if the victim visits a malicious website. In this corner: BF2142 patch... tries to use this exploit to dial home. EA, "hey please remove that Window's update so that we can continute to spy on you!" Are you really this stupid in real life? If the game is running on your PC, THEIR CODE IS ALREADY BEING EXECUTED! ZOMG! You really should put more than five seconds of thought, and perhaps even reading what other people have said before you flap your worthless drivel.
